Sunday's family service, including the baptism of Rosie Titchmarsh, is available on our YouTube channel.
Come along this Friday (8 November) for a great evening of musical entertainment, featuring Nutz 'n' Boltz and friends. Bring your own drink and nibbles. Donations on the night for the church will be kindly received.
This coming Sunday is Remembrance Sunday. There is a shorter service of Holy Communion at 9:00am (with no hymns). The main service will be for all ages and will include a 2 minute silence at 11:00am. There is no Sunday School this week.
On Monday at 10:50am, there will be a short act of Remembrance with a 2 minute silence at the Church.
As we head into the winter months, the parking area by the tower can become muddy. Please only park in this area if you need to.
The next Men's Breakfast is on Saturday 16 November at 8:30pm. Please sign up on the sheet at the back of church or email elmswellrector@gmail.com.
A pop-up Christmas Book shop is being held at The Faith Mission, Red House Farm, Fen Lane, Stowmarket, IP14 5EG on November 5 and 6 (10:30am to 4:30pm and 7:00pm to 8:30pm). There will be Christian books including advent readings and devotionals as well as Christmas cards, calendars and gifts! Pop in for a cuppa and a warm welcome.
The Elmswell Poor's Land Charity is open for applications for a Christmas gift, which will be in the form of Co-Op vouchers. If you, or anybody you know, are experiencing particular hardship at this difficult time, the charity would be happy for an application to be submitted. The applicant needs to have lived in Elmswell for over 3 years. Last year, successful applicants received £125 of vouchers, so it is worth applying if you are in need. Please note that determination of relative hardship will be the sole discretion of the Trustees. The application form is here
