Giving at St John's:


All we do has to be funded by us as a Church Family. From maintaining our church building, to wider mission, we rely on people's generosity to cover costs. Giving is a way of thanking God for our salvation in Jesus.

From 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, we also learn that Christian giving should be:

  • Motivated by grace (8:1-9)
  • In proportion to our means (8:12-15)
  • Carefully supervised (8:16-24)
  • Willing and cheerful (9:1-7)
  • A source of spiritual blessing (9:8-11)
  • A thanksgiving to God (9:12-14)
