St John's News - 22 June 2021

Dear friends,

As this last leg of lockdown drags on for a few more weeks, I found the following verse helpful. I hope these words will remind you that God remains true and ever-present:

For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
(Psalm 33:4)

If you missed Sunday afternoon's service of Reflection, Healing and Wholeness, please do catch up here. Catherine Joughin's message is particularly worth listening to. You can also catch up on the morning service here

Please note that our mid-week services of Night Prayer will cease at end of June - next Tuesday's will be the final one. Ernest and I do hope you have found these times of Compline and Celtic Prayer helpful.

Please also note that, regrettably, our main morning services on 4 and 11 July will not be available online.

As we are looking ahead into July, there will be an All Age Service on 4 July, led by Brenda Webb. All are very welcome.

We have received a letter from Phearak, the lad St John's sponsors in Cambodia, which is available from Peter. Please continue to pray for him, his family and church in Cambodia.

Finally, if you have been unable to make a contribution to the Sunday collections, remember you can make a donation online here
