This coming Sunday's service is at 10:30am and Tom Hart will be speaking on Psalm 127. Sunday School will continue following the story of the Exodus.

Congratulations to Gavin, who was Confirmed at Lavenham yesterday - see the photograph above. Holly Greathead, Lewis Greathead and Jessica Wilson will be Confirmed at Stanton on Thursday 2 November at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend.

The funeral of Annie Thompson, who sadly died following a car accident aged only 35, will take place at St John's on Thursday 2 November at 2:00pm. Please remember Annie’s family in your prayers at this difficult time.

On Saturday 4 November at 3:00pm, we are holding a special event called A Time To Remember & A Time To Give Thanks at St John's Church, Elmswell. This will take the form of a short service and is held to mark the passing of loved ones and to honour their memory. The service will consist of readings, three hymns, the reading out of the names of those we are remembering, and the lighting of candles. The service will be followed by some refreshments. All those who have faced bereavement are invited to attend.

Drawing near to God in Advent: prayer, postures and practices
Tuesday 28 November 7.00pm - 8.30pm, online
Bishop Mike will lead four Zoom sessions through Advent looking at aspects of prayer (e.g praise, intercession...), Christian postures (e.g. peace, joy...) and associated practices to help us grow closer to God over Advent. These will run on Tuesday 28 November / Tuesday 5 December / Thursday 14 December and Tuesday 19 December. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. All are very welcome! Book here

The Cambridge Women's Bible Conference
SAVE THE DATE. The Cambridge Women's Bible Conference will be at Christ Church Cambridge on Saturday 2 March 9:30am to 4:00pm considering the theme of "rest." Bookings open on 19 January.
