Dear friends,
You are a gracious and compassionate God,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
a God who relents from sending calamity.
Jonah 4:2If you missed Sunday's service and Gavin's sermon on Jonah 4, please catch up on our
YouTube channel.
We begin a new short series on Luke 7 next Sunday. As it is the summer, the children will stay in the main service a little longer, before popping into the church room to do a related craft.
The funeral of Gillian Curtis will take place at the West Suffolk Crematorium (Abbey Chapel) on Tuesday, 26 August 2025 at 1:30pm.
The Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Ride & Stride takes place on Saturday 13 September. If you are able to spend an hour or two at the church to welcome visitors, please sign up on the rota at the back of church. If you would like to take part in the sponsored cycle ride or walk to raise money for Suffolk Churches, information is also at the back of church. I am unable to take part in the Ride & Stride this year, as I am walking the Portuguese Camino (160 miles). However, I would be pleased to receive sponsorship for this instead to raise money for SHCT - the form is the back of church.
There is a Day of Prayer for Palestine and Israel on Saturday 16 August at Hitcham church - drop in any time between 9am and 6pm for prayers, lighting candles, messages etc.
Finally, you are very welcome to join the online weekly church prayer meeting, which is on Zoom on Saturday at 9:00am for 40 minutes. You do not need to pray out loud – we’d love to see you. Join us by clicking

In Christ,
