Shoeboxes: Operation Christmas Child appeal.
Over the next 2 months we are encouraging people to pack medium shoeboxes full of goodies for a needy child abroad.
We will be collecting packed shoeboxes at our special Mission Focus services on 6 November.
These will then be taken to the drop-off point in Ipswich ready to be sent abroad to make a child’s Christmas.
Contrary to internet propaganda, the shoeboxes are distributed to needy children of any faith (or none) and to children of any race. They are gifts of God's generous love and a child is not required to sign up to the Christian faith to receive one.
Explanatory leaflets are at the back of church.
