Giving - Standing Order & Gift Aid Forms now available to be printed online

Everything we do has to be funded by us as a Church Family. From maintaining our church building, to wider mission or Parish News sheets, we need resources to cover costs. Every year our needs grow, especially as we seek to further God’s work as his Holy Spirit leads us forward into new areas of ministry.

When we give, we express our thanks to God for our salvation in Jesus and because everything we have comes from him (2 Corinthians 9:15).

From 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, we also learn that Christian giving should be:

Motivated by grace (8:1–9)

In proportion to our means (8:12–15)

Carefully supervised (8:16–24)

Willing and cheerful (9:1–7)

A source of spiritual blessing (9:8–11)

A thanksgiving to God (9:12–14)

If you wish to contribute to the work here at the Parish of St John the Divine, then you may give in one of three ways.

via the collection taken at a Sunday service.

by writing a cheque payable to 'St John's Church Elmswell PCC' and sending to the PCC Treasurer.

by setting up a Standing Order.

By far the easiest form of giving, helpful for our own budget projections, is to set up a Standing Order. Also, if you are a tax-payer, completing a Gift Aid form makes your giving tax-efficient.
